2017 Central Canada Comic Con (C4) was a smashing success as Chris and I got ready to release the new 15 page teaser of our upcoming graphic novel Curb Angels. Curb Angels was picked up by local publisher At Bay Press, and we couldn’t be happier with their support and belief in our project.
Chris and I had the opportunity to sit down and sign and sketch for fans who picked up the book. It was a whirlwind and we met a lot of fantastic people who ranged from new con-goers, annual con-goers and artists who were showing their own dynamic work in Artists Alley.
I had the opportunity to meet Dan Parent, one of the top artists for Archie Comics! Normally I’m terrible meeting famous people, but Dan’s a great guy and humble too. I’m kicking myself for not bringing more cash to pick up some of his original pieces. Coincidentally we both paid homage to the Ramones Rocket to Russia album cover for Curb Angels and Archie Meets the Ramones. (HAD to get a photo of that!) Hey! Ho! Let’s go!
Even Darth Vader took a break from the Death Star and came by to pick up a copy. Respect.
The teaser turned out crisp. We’re running out of copies fast, but there will be some available with At Bay Press at BOOK FEST at the Millennium Library November 25, 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. Chris and I will be there to sign and sketch your copy!
Sneak peak of the sneak peak.
Excellent to read during a quick coffee break at your favorite cafe.
